Our superficial understanding of Good and Evil are leading man astray. The main reason why the world seems more evil than good is not because we are disobedient to the laws of man, but our vague interpretations on what the meanings of Good and Evil. Let me make this clearer by opening the subject of mental power and freedom to be ourselves in the case of Good and Evil.
Good and Evil can also be defined as Light And Darkness. To many of us, as implanted to the average understanding, this opposition is between following bad and good authorized behavior, but let us open our understanding of this matter as the shining of knowledge and dimming of ignorance because we are living in a world which needs to develop.
To the average man this battle is between bad and good, but to those who are thinking about universal and humanity matters, development is essential to the ever developing reality where it is composed by information. Developing clarifies that the real battle between Good and Evil is progress and retrogression. Our understanding of Good and Evil with bad and good behavior is too shallow because this is more in concern of obeying. Good defines as high quality and proper while Evil is defined as inferior and disagreeable. We will be stuck in the past if we are only adapting these old patterns. What I want to bring about in this issue of Good and Evil is being ourselves and thinking to be better.
As light gives us the ability to see and we cannot see our path in the darkness, knowledge is a main factor of Good and Evil. When a man lacks the ability to know his ways he is blinded and, therefore, walks astray. If we take the ability of man to see the light, he will become evil; if we deprived man the power of thinking he/she will be irrational. Irrationality is the main causes of catastrophic effects.
Looking at it logically development is the key to improvement. Good and Evil is not how man fails to follow the rules imposed by the authorities, but the failure to use our own reasoning. A man becomes a beast when realizes his own imprisonment. This systematic authority is a failure to those who longs freedom, the reason why the wise are cursed.
In our current age, most of our belief systems are taking away the ability of man to think. Do most people at all think? How many of us actually know how to use logic? Why are we pulling people inside the box called unexamined beliefs? Is it because of fear? Fear to think?
We need more Einsteins than parrots; we need more leaders than dumb followers. As Socrates said: "The unexamined life is not worth living." I will add unto this " The unexamined beliefs is not worth believing."
Leadership and development is the right path of Good. The concept of Evil is the product of our prejudice. The ability of opening our minds and having the power to seek answers to improve is essential for betterment. Mental power, also known as reasoning, that only mankind has not animals, is the light in the darkness to not be beasts.
