If thinking, wit and wisdom were to be defined in just one word, it would be ‘philosophy’. ‘How philosophy shapes our lives?’ This is a question that has been the cause of great intellectual tussle most especially among those erudite believers both non-scientific and scientific. As a matter of fact, most people argue that philosophy does not affect our lives at all. It is something that fascinates those idle people in leisure. On the other hand this should not be the case because as the things start gaining momentum, it is because of philosophy.
Philosophers are the ones who evoke relevant questions and reason them out. Imagine how our world would be without these following questions:
How Our Everyday Living is Philosophized?
Both education and its development are not possible if there is no philosophy. People think that philosophy makes it very difficult to appreciate those simple things. But the truth is that philosophy makes difficult things easier to understand. What you will get is the final products that are well-evaluated information that is easy to understand.
Reflecting the Consequences
You always weight decisions with the parameters of wrong and right, evil or good, and loss or profit, which in the first place require reasoning, counter thoughts, and most of all analytic thinking. People would not be able to rationalize all those things unless they did not cultivate thorough understanding to reflect the consequences of their own decisions. This is something people have and will gain all throughout their life.
Sharpens the Intellect
One of the biggest powers of the brain is the ability to think and formulate notions. Philosophy is responsible for adding the right flow to the process. This is why we have numerous arguments in support of our stand and seek for enlightenment. Philosophy serves as the whetstone in which the wisdom is what sharpens the intellect.
Philosophy Revolutionized the Way We Think
Thoughts are considered as the constant part of the existence of human beings and would have remained bland, consistent, and without analysis if philosophy is not present. The capability of drawing thoughts, coloring it, and balancing it against the objectivity’s paradigm primarily rests with philosophy.
Answering questions always requires serious thinking. Philosophy really matters mainly because all the answers to the philosophical questions matter the most. What makes these questions significant is that they help the society to function and they reflect something that is deeply fundamental about humans that we are all physical creatures, but our own consciousness is not merely restricted to only physical matters. This makes philosophy both the seek of perfection and expounding the reflective truth on the human nature. We really cannot live without philosophy.
